Baylor’s Brittney Griner, who has recently been the talk of the tinsel town after the Brittney Griner Punch video went on doing rounds on the internet, might face disciplinary action after she allegedly punched Texas Tech’s Jordan Barncastle right on the face during a match on Wednesday. Although the Baylor’s sealed victory against the Techs, but the win was marred by the seemingly unprofessional attitude of Brittney Griner. The officials had to withdraw the player from the court after she allegedly punched her opponent.

Soon after the incident, the Brittney Griner Punch Video was put up on YouTube, which in one sense earned the player some sort of unwelcomed publicity. Baylor’s coach Kim Mulkey expressed disappointment over Brittney Griner’s irresponsible and eccentric behavior during Wednesday’s game against the Techs. Kim Mulkey reportedly described Brittney Griner’s incident as “ugly for women’s basketball.” The altercation took place when Jordan Barncastle fouled Brittney Griner. As the Texas Tech player began to move away from Brittney Griner, the latter turned and landed a punch right on Jordan Barncastle’s face. Following the incident, the officials pulled out Brittney Griner from the court with only 9:01 minutes left to play. Sources revealed that the Texas Tech player was did suffer minor injuries although it is yet to be known how severe her injury is.Brittney Griner’s Punch thrown at her rival teammate has come as a shock for the basketball aficionados. But still the player has been successful to earn a fair bit of negative publicity from the disgraceful incident. It is yet to be known what disciplinary actions will be taken against her.
